We are wishing all of our families a joyful Mardi Gras.
Next week we will be in Treasure Beach, Jamaica — a place that feels like an extension of home — spending time with dear friends and checking in on the community after last year’s Category 5 hurricane. We continue to hear how much your kindness and support meant, and it’s a reminder that the connections we share extend far beyond New Orleans. It is a resilient and deeply caring place.
After we return on February 24, we will be sharing our summer offerings and schedule. Summer can be such a powerful time for students to grow — a chance to build confidence and strengthen skills in a supportive, intentional way.
We are also excited to begin sending a monthly parent newsletter. We want to help parents by answering many of the thoughtful questions you ask about reading, attention, spelling, accommodations, and ways to support your child at home.
This time of year is also a good reminder that breaks matter — for students and for adults. Stepping away from routines allows the brain to rest, reset, and return with renewed focus and energy. We hope this Mardi Gras season gives your family space to slow down, reconnect, and recharge in whatever ways feel meaningful to you.
Thank you for trusting us with your children.
With gratitude,
Kate & Todd
