In Honor of Some Amazing Parents

I woke up this morning trying to get in touch with Dr. Steve Dykstra with a technical question about a reading assessment. Instead, on his website, I found this video: "Reading: The Great Vaccine." What an intriguing title! Please watch this...It is my reason for doing what I do as I relate to it on a personal level. I can't help but think of some amazing clients who have been foster parents in the past, and who are presently. My husband's parents changed Todd's life by adopting him and giving him the best education and a love of reading to pass on to children and young adults. We are so fortunate to be able to help children have happier outcomes when they have suffered early childhood traumas just by teaching them to read.
